Morrisons are proud to put their signature on this classic Chablis. It’s a perfectly delicate balance of crisp green apples and soft banana flavours brought together with a subtle mineral flourish. A must with seafood, salmon au gratin or in season asparagus. The winemakers in the Chablis region have had to resort to some pretty drastic measures over the years. Being in northern France, it can get a bit nippy out in the vineyards, something the delicate buds are not keen on. Whole vintages can be rendered useless in next to no time. Somehow the winemakers have worked out how to avoid this and now mist their vines with water. As it freezes it forms a protective bubble around its precious cargo and Chablis lovers everywhere breathe out a huge sigh of relief and anticipation. Suitable for vegetarians.

Directions

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 48 hours. Best served chilled. Food match: Goes well with seafood in creamy sauces, or try with a bagel piled with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
